From your first contact with us to your child's report — here is exactly what happens at each stage. Click any step to read more.

1
Complete the New Patient Registration
~5 minutes

Fill in our short online registration form telling us about your child — their age, your main concerns, and what kind of support you are looking for. No GP referral is needed.

The form takes approximately five minutes to complete. The more detail you include, the faster we can advise you on the most appropriate service.

You can access the New Patient Registration form on our website or via the Book Appointment button.
2
We respond and confirm next steps
Within 1 working day

We will respond the same or next working day to confirm the most appropriate service for your child and explain exactly what happens next.

We will also send assessment questionnaires for you to complete, and a separate set for your child's teacher or tutor.

If you are unsure which assessment your child needs, use the guidance tool on our homepage — or simply register and we will advise you.
3
Complete the assessment questionnaires
Parents + school

You will be asked to complete a detailed questionnaire about your child's development, behaviour, and history. Your child's teacher or tutor will be asked to complete a shorter questionnaire about how your child presents in an educational setting.

School input is required for both ADHD and autism assessments — this is a necessary part of the diagnostic process. For home-educated children, we accept input from tutors or professionals who work regularly with your child.

Once we have received all questionnaires, we will arrange your assessment appointments.

Assessment appointment(s)
All via secure video

All appointments are conducted via Zoom Business — secure, encrypted video calls from the comfort of your home. No travel, no waiting rooms.

  • ADHD assessment: One appointment, approximately 1.5 hours. Includes the QB Test, Young DIVA diagnostic interview, and clinical observation of your child.
  • Autism assessment: Two appointments — the ADI-R parental interview (led by Dr Athina Zakynthinaki, ~2 hours) and the ADOS child observation (conducted by a qualified Speech and Language Therapist or Occupational Therapist). Both can take place on the same day.
  • Child psychiatry consultation: One appointment, approximately 1 hour.
You will receive verbal feedback on the diagnostic decision at the end of your appointment.
5
Diagnostic report and feedback session
Same day (ADHD) or within days

You will receive a full written diagnostic report with findings, a diagnostic conclusion, and detailed recommendations for support at home, at school, and beyond.

  • ADHD reports are provided the same day as your assessment.
  • Autism reports follow shortly after both appointments are completed.

A 30-minute feedback session with Dr Athina Zakynthinaki is included to discuss the findings, answer your questions, and agree on next steps together.

6
Ongoing support if needed
Optional

If your child receives an ADHD diagnosis and you would like to explore medication, we offer a dedicated ADHD Treatment Package (£1,200) covering six medication review appointments, prescriptions, and full titration support.

For all patients, Dr Athina Zakynthinaki provides a complimentary email communication service between appointments for straightforward queries.

We are here for the long term — not just for the assessment.

If your child was previously diagnosed elsewhere and you need medication support or an annual review, we can help with that too.
